Code of Conduct Policy Review Group

This Working Group has met multiple times since October 2022 and worked with focus groups (over 100 employees across the state) to conduct a thorough overhaul of Personnel Rule 20 (“Employee Conduct Policies”), which contains the Anti-Harassment and Anti-Discrimination Policy, the Code of Conduct, the Drug-Free Workplace Policy, the Mandatory Education Policy, the Policy for Maintaining a Non-Violent Workplace, the Policy concerning Personal Relationships in the Workplace, the Policy on the Use of Social Media, and the Policy on the Use of Recording Devices by Judicial Department Employees).  Rule 20 also addresses the complaint procedure and investigations of policy violations.  The focus groups provided feedback on confusing and repetitive language in the policies, and ways to make the information more understandable.  The Working Group has made major revisions to Personnel Rule 20 that have been reviewed by the Personnel Rules Committee, the Human Resources Committee, and the WCI Steering Committee.  The Supreme Court approved these changes to Personnel Rule 20 in early April 2023.
